What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register with our application through Facebook Login, when registering to download content, or when expressing an interest in obtaining additional information about our services.

Crowdly requires you to register in order to login to your dashboard, view your data, and engage through the platform. We only ask and collect information that is necessary to provide you with our site’s experience, or to use certain interactive pieces of functionality. When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to share your: name, e-mail address, any information you choose to share through the site to better it’s experience, along with additional permissions that are required for the Crowdly app to function properly. When requesting content or information from the Crowdly Website, we may require you to provide personal contact information, such as your name, your company name, your job title or role, your address, your phone number, and your email address.

Website Navigational Information – Crowdly uses commonly used information-gathering tools, such as cookies and tracking pixels, to collect information as you navigate Crowdly’s website. This Website Information includes standard information from your Web browser (such as browser type, version, and language), your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, and the actions you take on Crowdly’s websites (such as, pages viewed, links clicked).

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

  • To respond to your request – such as to schedule a demonstration
  • For marketing purposes – Crowdly may use information you provide to contact you to further discuss your interest in Crowdly and to send you information regarding Crowdly and advocate marketing.
  • To improve Crowdly’s Websites and products – Crowdly may use Website Navigational Information to provide Visitors and Customers with relevant content and in the aggregate to identify trends and usage patterns.

Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you always have the ability to do so. Instructions on how to unsubscribe from receiving future emails are included at the bottom of each email. You may also contact your account representative to request to be unsubscribed to emails delivered by Crowdly.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or it’s service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser – if you allow – that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

We partner with a third party to manage our advertising on other sites. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer data or personally identifiable information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties, specifically the brand through which you are engaged with Crowdly through, or the Crowdly app, or those who assist us in operating our platform, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or other rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Unless described in this Privacy Policy, Crowdly does not share, sell, rent, or trade any information collected through its Website or Services with third parties for their promotional purposes.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into the Crowdly.com website and viewing their account settings.

As part of compliance with California law SB 568, all users of our site who are minors (users under the age of 18) may request removal of content stored on our servers, by emailing privacy@crowdly.com from the email address associated with the data and requesting removal of the information.

Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

GDPR

Data Roles

Under GDPR, we operate as a data processor on behalf of our clients in the context of providing services to them and their end users. In this context the client is the controller. We operate as a data controller on our own behalf in the context of our marketing campaigns.

Where Crowdly clients are the controller, they can be contacted about data collected on their behalf, by reviewing their privacy policies.

  • Correct information that we have about you
  • Request destruction of information that we have about you

We use analytics services and Cookies in order to improve our services, users' experiences, and to understand how our web applications are used. The data is mostly anonymous traffic data including browser, device, language, and general location (region or city). Where we are the controller, we do not use collected information to profile those who access our website. Where we are the processor, we sometimes aggregate user data on behalf of clients, to generate general insights (gender, location).

Your Content

Personal information, or comments that you voluntarily disclose within the mobile Application or on the Website, for example on idea comment pages, or on the blog forums, becomes publicly available. Your account name is displayed to other Users when you send and/or post messages using the Application or through the Website. Please note that any comment or other content you post or send to the Website becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy.

We may choose to feature customer submitted ideas or content which will contain customer’s user name.
